TGfU Goals and Objectives

The goal of the Task Force is to harness the groundswell of energy and funnel it into the promotion of research and good practice in TGFU through active communication and the recruitment of teachers and coaches. This will benefit learners in a global arena. With this goal the following objectives are proposed:

• Review the philosophy behind the original TGFU conception and its subsequent development to provide for an accurate representation of its purpose
• Disseminate scholarly information and teaching resources through a variety of media
• Promote discussion and dialogue among membership by establishing a forum on issues relating to both the TGFU theoretical and curriculum framework and instructional practices
• Establish teaching programs to assist institutions, schools and individuals in the implementation of the TGFU approach
• Coordinate collaborative research efforts and publication of information after each workshop, meeting or conference
